| MNSC Spring meet POSTPONED | The MNSC Spring meet that was scheduled for 12pm today has been canceled.
The admin team has decided to postpone the MNSC meet today since temperatures are currently in the upper 40s, and aren't expected to warm up much. Rain is in the forecast, but even if it stays dry today, with all of the rain yesterday, it's going to be a damp, cold day....not a good day to be standing around looking at cars.
The meet will be rescheduled ASAP, once we look at the local autosports schedules to make sure we don't conflict with a race day or something. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, if you are already were set on going to the meet and still want to hang out with some car guys, a group of MNSCers are meeting up at Fuddruckers off of 494 and France Ave at noon today. There is plenty of parking there, and people can escape inside to warm up if they want.
| | MNSC Spring Opener | Ok, we finally got around to scheduling this. Thanks for your patience while we worked out location details.
What: MNSC Spring opener
When: 12pm-4pm June 7th
Where: Normandale Lake Park, Bloomington
We'll have more details on specific activities as we get closer to the date. We're going to actually have trophies this year for the awards (cleanest car, overall show best, etc). Categories will be announced eventually as well.
Questions, let us know. Otherwise, put June 7th on the calendar.
| | MNSC Site updates | MNSC is currently undergoing a series of site updates. Don't be alarmed if colors or icons don't look quite right yet, we're still refining the new look and feel.
A few other things to note...we are tentatively scheduling our season opener for the middle of June. We are looking at a few different locations and will post a final date as soon as we have something locked down.
The car of the month competition is coming back in May, with a few big changes. Be sure to keep your eyes on the Announcements forum for that posting.
